Attorney, Thomas & LoCicero

Thomas & LoCicero PL seeks an attorney with at least 3-5 years of experience to join our media and trademark practice in our Tampa office.

Thomas & LoCicero (“TLo”) is the leading media law firm in the hottest state in defamation law. We also represent major trademark owners in managing their trademark portfolios, and we routinely handle trademark and commercial litigation. Our firm provides and thrives through a collegial, collaborative work environment.We have offices in Tampa and South Florida, allowing us to handle cases statewide and across the country.

The ideal candidate will have impressive credentials, strong research and writing skills, and experience in litigation generally and media and trademark law in particular. Prior work in all of the firm’s practice areas is not required. Depending upon the attorney’s particular interests and client needs, opportunities at TLo will include providing defamation defense and prepublication review and advice; assisting clients with public records matters; responding to media subpoenas and helping to protect newsgathering; performing trademark clearance reviews; prosecuting trademark and copyright applications; responding to PTO office actions; handling trademark opposition and domain-name proceedings; litigating trademark and business disputes in Florida’s state and federal courts; and drafting trademark and copyright agreements. An active membership in The Florida Bar is preferred, although the firm is willing to consider attorneys who plan to apply for admission in the Sunshine State.

We are seeking an attorney who will be present in our Tampa office, though we provide flexibility to work remotely consistent with the needs of the firm and our clients. We are looking for a lawyer who is committed to building a successful practice, has a strong passion for the First Amendment and a free press, and will develop relationships with TLo’s existing and new clients. The firm offers a competitive salary; a 401k plan with an employer match; and health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. All attorneys are eligible for a bonus.
